The workshop will be on Tuesday afternoons starting Sept. 24th, 2024, from 1:00 to 4:00 PM and run for 6 weekly sessions.

Description:

Painting is challenging, we want to worry about what to paint instead of how to paint it. The idea is to be comfortable with the procedure of painting so you are free to be creative. The emphasis will be on oil painting, but if anyone wants to use gouache, that could work because a lot of the issues with oil as a medium
also apply to gouache.

We will try to get more confident with color and color mixing. Also work on problems artists have with paint application and the best way to start a painting. Also issues with solvents and mediums. We also will work on better design and composition.
