Sandy will begin the presentation by explaining her creative process and the
mediums she uses to produce artwork that’ll be on display. An example
of the Mixed Media will be used to discuss the fundamental
process of producing a mixed media piece. Members can use the example
provided as subject matter or use their own ideas. Sandy will bring a few of the
textured gel mediums and collage elements for participants to experiment
with.

Biography

Sandy is married with two adult children. She and her family moved to
Colorado Springs in 2017 for her husband’s final Air Force assignment.
She has taken workshops and classes in Acrylic, Oil, Painting, Sculpture,
and Collage. Painting has been her discipline of choice since 2009. Her
inspiration comes from old art journals, dreams, and observing people on
her travels. She enjoys painting portraits of her family, still life, and
mystical characters.  She has served on PLAG’s Board of Directors and is currently the Coordinator of the PLAG Sponsorship Program.
