Please join us for our second annual Summer Exhibit at the highly toured Garden of the Gods Visitor Center throughout the month of August.  Member artists will be providing original artworks using varied and multiple mediums, sized to be approximately 11″x14″ or smaller, and geared to reflect scenic interests in the Pikes Peak region.

CALL TO ARTISTS:

Due to limited space at the GOGVC, the first 45 pieces will be accepted for entry, others may be held on a wait list

Note to artists and show requirements:  All work must be original and for sale.  We have learned that because this facility is mostly used by tourists, smaller pieces of approximately 250 sq inches or less, including frames, will typically sell better with a price range between $100-$300.  This is similar to our Small Works show but does NOT preclude works up to 325″ with frame.
Sale prices may not exceed $500.

Other criteria:

  • Cost of entries for MEMBERS of PLAG: $20.00 For the 1st piece, $10.00 for the second through third pieces each.
  • Cost of entries for NON-members of PLAG: $25.00 for the 1st piece, $15.00 for the second through third pieces each.
  • No Bin Art will be accepted into this Exhibit
  • Framing:  All art must be framed or Gallery wrapped with a minimum 1″ depth.  Only wired framing, with limited wire slack, will be acceptable.  No saw tooth fittings.
  • Purchases are made directly with the buyer through the Garden of the Gods.
  • Art sold at this show will include a 10% commission to PLAG as a fee for handling artist and tax payments.  Sales Tax amounts are separate from commission fees.
  • Required sales tax amounts will be added to the Artist price for each piece during the registration process.
  • Artists are required to sign Release of Liability forms from PLAG and the Garden of the Gods Foundation for work to be displayed.
  • Updates with the Installation, Reception and Pickup Dates will be provided in PLAG’s “Inspire” Newsletter and on our website prior to registration opening on June 24th.
