I have painted and drawn from a young age, practicing by drawing from books and in person at county fairs. I was always drawn to painting the landscape and animals. Although having worked in corporate America for a number of years, I would always be painting, drawing, and taking workshops in my spare time. When I retired in my late 50’s I was able to devote myself to fulltime painting, concentrating on plein air work, wildlife, and landscape painting. I took numerous classes and workshops with some very well-known artists such as Tim Deibler, Joe Bohler, Keith Bond, Greg Beecham, Cindy Feustel, Lorenzo Chavez, Kevin MacPherson and numerous other artists. My two painting mediums are oil and pastels. I enjoy painting in the studio as well, using my plein air paintings and photos to guide me to a finished piece.
