PERSPECTIVE DRAWING FOR ARTISTS

Better perspective makes better art. Learn to add depth to your visual expressions by applying
the fundamental principles of linear perspective, using lines and the size and placement of
forms. We will cover the principles of one-point, two-point, and three-point perspective.
Applying these principles to simple shapes is a good starting point for laying down good
foundations.

ARTIST BIOGRAPHY

Elisa majored in arts and architecture a few decades ago, but needing to satisfy her curiosity in
other fields of the arts, she returned to school and studied digital media and graphic design.
In her own words, “I am forever an art student — learning and improving on my skills. I get an
absolute thrill from the journey that produces a work of art, be it drawing, painting, paper
crafting, pottery, digital illustrations, or photography. I love the benefits I get from exploring
different media and processes in art-making, and then teaching others what I’ve learned. For
me, art-making is good for brain health, emotional wellbeing, physical dexterity, and overall
wellness.”

Elisa is currently teaching classes in perspective drawing, painting, and mixed media at
Cottonwood Center for the Arts.
