Mark Dixon, Instructor

Mark’s 6 week sessions on drawing figures and faces have been, in the words of several members, “transformative!” From discussion on materials and resources to the specifics of proven technique, such as the Loomis Method, Mark has already conveyed his expertise and communication skills working with PLAG members interested in developing their drawing capabilities further. With each session he as given a demonstration of the subject matter for that day and worked with each student to as they develop drawings using graphite on newsprint. In some cases “gesture” drawing are used to develop speed and confidence by the artist during a short timeframe. Other drawings are created using a selection of figure photos Mark has compiled for use during his sessions.
